Eva Edler Glass Art
In the foothills of the Krkonoše Mountains, in picturesque Rudník, artist Eva Edler creates original glass paintings, panels, and decorations using the fusing method, or soft glass. Her work focuses on the precise artistic processing of the material, which takes on a new aesthetic dimension and depth under her hands.
The studio's philosophy is based on a deep understanding of glass as a medium with its own soul and language, which the artist learned during her studies with the world-renowned Italian master Miriam di Fiore. The key technique here is frit painting, a rare method of powder painting in which crushed colored glass is used to create layered compositions that, after firing in a kiln, work with light reflection and transparency in a way that classic painting techniques cannot imitate.
Visitors to the studio and adjacent mini-gallery are offered a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of glass art, where they can see the process of creating these light paintings with their own eyes. Part of the experience is the opportunity to view the current collection of works and take home an authentic, handcrafted gift that bears the imprint of the Krkonoše nature and masterful craftsmanship.
