We are the Association of Friends of the Chřibská Glassworks, z. s. – a community of glassmakers, masters and apprentices, friends, supporters and enthusiasts of glassmaking from all age groups. Our goal is to revive glassmaking traditions and bring glass production back to Chřibská, a picturesque town at the foot of the Lusatian Mountains with a rich glassmaking history spanning nearly 600 years.

We launched our activities on 30 May 2025 with the first project entitled “Glassmaking for Joy”. These are small glassmaking workshops for the public, intended for everyone interested in traditional hand-crafted hot glass production, offering the opportunity to witness live demonstrations by members of our association – experienced glassmakers from Chřibská and the surrounding area. Glassmaking brings us joy, and we want to share that pure joy with you and pass it on to others.
